The Allegany Regional Board of Directors are made up of community members who volunteer to meet at a minimum of once a quarter, or as needs demand. As advocates for both staff and individuals at ARDC, the board wears many hats.
John Rider is currently the Acting Chairperson. He has been on the board for more than 5 years. He works for Universal Primary Care (UPC) in Olean, having been previously employed in Behavioral Health at the Seneca Nation for many years.
Tina Becker is a long-term member of the Board. She serves as the current Treasurer, a member of the Finance Committee and a member of the Serious Incident Review Committee (SIRC). Tina is an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation. Tina is employed by the Seneca Nation of Indians in the Mortgage Department. She is also a foster parent in the community.
Lori Lyth-Frantz, PhD is a long-term member of the board. She is currently the Board Secretary. She previously worked with the Seneca Nation Health Department (1992-2015), she currently works for the Erie VA as a psychologist in Home Based Primary Care. She previously served as Board President and on the Serious Incident Review Committee.
JoAnn McAndrew has been on the board for a couple of years. She is the board representative on the Corporate Compliance Committee. She is very active in the community and serves on many Boards. She recently accepted a new position at Total Senior Care.
Sidney Horton, PhD is a Salamanca native and a cultural anthropologist who has worked in many fields, including construction management, medical anthropologist, and professor. In the last several years he has been particularly active in consulting with members of the NYS legislature on MBE/MWBE issues as well as on the Opioid Epidemic.
John Helgager is a new member to the board. He was born and raised in Calabasas, California. John attended Pierce College, he was in the 2-year Horticulture program. He served for over 21 years in the United States Air Force; retiring out of the reserves. Worked as a Real Estate Broker in Los Angeles for over 20 years. He married his wife in 1996, they have 3 children. She is an enrolled Seneca, so they moved back on territory and have settled here for about 10 years. John is currently employed by N.J. Real Property Inspections as a Licensed New York Home Inspector and is the Code Enforcement Officer for the Town of Carrollton and Village of Allegany, NY.
