Patti Furlong-Crowe, graduated in 1981 from Salamanca Central School; continued her undergraduate studies at Cortland State. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Health Education. Upon graduating she began her career as a Health Educator for the Seneca Nation of Indians Health Department. She came back to her hometown to be close to her family. Wanting to stay in the health field, but wanting to go in a different direction she continued her studies in the Nursing program at Jamestown Community College. During that time, she worked as an aide for Home Health Care and Hospice which was very rewarding, but again seeking a change, returned to the Seneca Nation as the Nutrition Specialist at the Early Childhood Learning Center. Coming full circle with her health degree she was hired at the Seneca Nation Health Systems Diabetes Program as the Community Diabetes Health Educator. Currently, working for Allegany Regional Development Corporation, she began in the Behavior program, moving to the MSC and now as the Administrative Assistant. Blessed with many working experiences as well as owning a restaurant, with her husband Rudy and with the support of her family has given her the opportunity to meet many wonderful people along the way. This truly enriches her life to be able to share her joy, humor, and positive outlook with others as well as her nieces and nephews.
